Dr. Ferguson was born and raised in St. John’s, NL, and graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in 2012. Following graduation, Dr. Ferguson practiced small animal medicine in her hometown of St. John's, and later earned her Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) certification from the University of Tennessee in 2015. After relocating to Toronto in 2016, she continued her work as a small animal general practitioner, and enjoyed her time as a professional consulting veterinarian within the veterinary nutrition industry.
In 2023, Dr. Ferguson returned home with her partner and daughter who are happily settling into life on the island! Dr. Ferguson is also a proud pet parent of three hilarious cats - Henry, Roo, and Pancake. In her off time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and practicing yoga.
